About our life abroad
We are Wouter and Ilse. In the beginning of 2002 we got the opportunity to share our lives with the people of Muleba, a village in the northwest of Tanzania. We had great pleasure living and working there, but after much thinking and long discussions, we decided to move from Africa to Asia in 2005. From our African village we landed in Simao, a small city in the southwest of China. Although, given the population of China, you really do have to take that 'small' with a pinch of salt...
This site was originally designed to keep our family and friends updated about what we were up to in China, but everybody is welcome to have a peek into our lives. In the travelogue you can find where we're at now and what we're doing, while in the gallery we present our photographic impressions of the places we visited.
